SUPERIOR RECYCLING SOLUTIONS IS SET TO SUCCEEDWed, Feb 1 2006 Gary Beagell, owner of Gary’s U-Pull It in Binghamton, NY, is looking forward to a busy year. Not only is he the newly appointed President of ARA, he is also overseeing the development of his newest company, Superior Recycling Solutions(SRS), LLC. Superior Recycling Solutions, a new member of ARA, was started by Gary & Linda Beagell in 2005. SRS manufactures and markets the Fluid Recovery System that has been in development for over ten years at Gary’s U-Pull It. “It was created out of necessity,” said Becky Brechko, Gary’s daughter and the director of sales and marketing for SRS. “There has been an increasing need within the automotive recycling industry for a safe, efficient way to remove fluids from end-of-life vehicles.” After years of experimenting with different methods, they have created a fluid recovery system that is uniquely efficient, safe and environmentally friendly. The SRS Fluid Recovery System allows over 12,000 cars per year to be processed without polluting the environment. It removes up to 20% more fluids per vehicle than traditional methods and the technicians never have to handle the fluids. This eliminates the chance of human error, which is the main cause of most hazardous spills. The system was built specifically for the recycling industry, and is amazingly durable while allowing a high volume of vehicles to be processed. SRS has doubled the appeal of their system by ensuring that it not only protects the environment, but increases profit as well. “Our system allows 65 or more vehicles per day to be drained using only two technicians,” said Brechko. By utilizing high speed pumps, eliminating individual catch basins and providing an open work space for the technicians, SRS has created a streamlined, low-maintenance fluid recovery area. “Time is money and higher volume equals higher profit.” Superior Recycling Solutions offers four patented products that work together to complete the entire process of fluid removal in a self-service facility. The SRS Upper Suction System utilizes high-speed pumps, which are activated by push-button wands to drain all top end fluids including antifreeze, windshield washer, brake and power steering, in under ninety seconds. Ensuring maximum drainage, a patented tilt-system is incorporated in their Fluid Recovery Lift and used to coax fluids from hard to reach areas that are missed by traditional methods. This accounts for the 20% increase in drained fluids that could potentially end up in the ground. The SRS Oil / Antifreeze separator enables the auto recycler to reuse or sell their waste oil as well as their antifreeze. Last but not least, the SRS Gas Tank Punch is a stand-alone device that punctures large holes in gas tanks to rapidly remove all fuel from the tank and prevent dangerous vapor buildup. The gas is then reused – a huge bonus for owners and employees! As the daughter of Gary and Linda Beagell, Becky has watched the industry evolve. Through their family-owned business, Gary has applied environmental concerns to a system that is proving to be cutting-edge within the industry. She says at SRS they plan to continue this trend with further revolutionary products. “Currently our customers are self-service yards throughout the US. We are in the process of developing fluid recovery systems that will be used across the board, for both full-service and self-service yards. We are also developing an automated fluid recovery system. The prototype has been running successfully at Gary’s U-Pull It for three months now.” As the automotive recycling industry continues to evolve and concerns for the environment become forefront, the SRS team will strive to stay ahead of the curve and meet and exceed environmental regulations for the industry. Looking toward the future, SRS is dedicated to supplying the automotive recycling industry with safe, efficient and environmentally sound products to help increase production and profit while protecting the environment.
