 Everyone at Superior Recycling Solutions — from assembly team members to the executive level — works to honor this golden rule of environmental stewardship, and everyone within SRS has a voice in how to implement it. We have embraced the 3 R's code of conduct at every level - from manufacturing to delivery.
Reduce We've made a sizeable effort as a company to reduce our impact on the earth and its resources. SRS is taking the initiative in many areas, including: - Implementing paperless ordering systems to reduce paper waste.
- The use of energy-star compliant monitors and other technology to reduce our energy consumption.
- Trucks that would normally go back to the warehouse empty are now backhauling material and recyclables to regional recycling and composting facilities.
Reuse Superior Recycling Solutions reuses material of all kinds whenever possible. Some examples: - We strongly encourage the use of reusable bags and subsidize the reuse of standard bags for shipping.
- We are implementing the use of reusable and biodegradable plates and bowls in our dining areas.
- Packing peanuts are saved and recycled in our shipping department, plus we work with suppliers to eliminate Styrofoam use in future shipments.
Recycle We've teamed up with local resources to use recycled boxes to ship our orders. What may appear to be a case of organic chicken eggs is actually a 1" AOD Pump. Here are some examples of our other recycling initiatives: - We've replaced all disposable batteries with rechargeable ones
- Internal and community recycling drives are held periodically to collect and recycle automotive parts to keep them out of landfills.
- We use recycled paper with a high percentage of post-consumer waste whenever possible.
- We maintain receptacles for glass and plastic recycling in our dining areas.
